The main part of the competition will be held at the Valo Arena, except for the final three days, when the final matches will be held at the Mercedes-Benz Arena. Format of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2024: Masters Shanghai
VCT 2024 is an offline tournament, which added to the intensity and atmosphere of the event. The competition will start at the Valo Arena in Shanghai, with the final three days taking place at the prestigious Mercedes-Benz Arena.
At the tournament, there are 12 teams participating, with 4 starting their journey directly from the playoffs stage, while 8 teams will compete in the Swiss Stage. Also, it's worth noting that VCT 2024 features teams from 4 different regions, namely Americas, China, EMEA, and Pacific.
In the first stage of the tournament, teams will play three rounds, each consisting of one match. Based on the results of these three rounds, 4 teams will leave the tournament, while the remaining teams will join 100Thieves, Fnatic, Paper Rex, and EDward Gaming in the playoff stage.
The playoff stage features an upper and a lower bracket. The favorites of the tournament will compete in the upper bracket, while the teams in the lower bracket will fight for the right to stay in the tournament, as losing there means elimination from the Riot Games event.
