Heroic becomes the fifth participant in the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 playoffs
Heroic becomes the fifth participant in the playoffs of PGL Major Stockholm 2021. In the fourth round, the Danish team beat compatriots from Copenhagen Flames with a score of 2: 1. In a parallel match, Virtus.pro defeated MOUZ with a score of 2: 1.
Heroic - Copenhagen Flames
The Danish derby started on Nuke, which became Heroic's choice. And if Copenhagen Flames was only enough for a series of starting rounds, then closer to the side switching, Heroic amassed a huge advantage. Of course, it turned out to be impossible to let go of the difference of seven rounds - the logical victory of Heroic at its own pick.
Then the teams got to Ancient. At the same time, the first half was held in an equal fight. And yet in the end Copenhagen Flames put the squeeze on the opponent, having managed to equalize the score in the series - 16:13.
Everything was decided on the Overpass map, on which the advantage instantly fell into the hands of the Heroic players. However, Copenhagen Flames did not think to give up, reducing the gap to a psychological minimum. But after the change of sides, Heroic finally seized the initiative, becoming another participant in PGL Major Stockholm 2021 - 16:11.
Virtus.pro - MOUZ
The parallel meeting began somewhat later. At the same time, the painful anticipation clearly affected Virtus.pro, which started on Ancient with a deep swim. And if after the change of sides the team from the CIS still tried to fight, then the advantage gained at the start of the map allowed MOUZ to lead the story in the series - 16: 9.
However, already at Inferno, Virtus.pro players took their toll, showing an extremely confident attack. At the same time, even after the change of sides, MOUZ did not manage to wake up, allowing the opponent to equalize - 16: 3.
The Vertigo card became the desider. However, from the start it became clear that Virtus.pro intends to close the series in their favor, having completed ten confident rounds in defense. At the same time, MOUZ was against this situation, having made a fantastic comeback to bring the matter to overtime. And yet, in a tense series of additional rounds, the victory went to VP - 22:18.
