WePlay Academy League Season 1: NAVI Junior beat VP.Prodigy 16-1
The third game day of WePlay Academy League Season 1 has come to an end. Within its framework, three out of four matches were played with a wide margin. The hardest fight of the day was the fight between BIG Academy and mouz NXT. There BIG Academy were able to beat their opponents with a score of 16-13. Young NInjas beat Astralis Talent 16-3, NAVI Junior beat VP.Prodigy 16-1, and FURIA Academy barely took 5 rounds against Fnatic Rising.
Now, many clubs have a tendency to start youth squads and grow their own talents instead of buying promising players for fabulous sums. The example of Natus Vincere with Valery 'B1t' Vakhovsky showed that youth teams are needed. The player successfully entered the starting roster, replacing Yegor 'flamie' Vasiliev there. Together with the new team, B1t has already won several major championships. One of these was the recently completed Intel Extre Masters Cologne 2021. Its total prize pool was $ 1,000,000, and the esports players earned $ 400,000 for the team. WePlay Academy League Season 1 has become exactly the event that can push many youth squads to new achievements and unleash the potential of the players in a new way. In addition, the organizers give young talents the opportunity to feel like a real adult e-sportsman playing in a championship with a large prize pool. All this will give players additional motivation to develop their talents.
At the moment, the leaderboard is headed by players from BIG Academy, who beat NAVI Junior, Astralis Talent and mouz NXT. The second and third positions are occupied by Fnatic Rising and NAVI Junior with the results of 2-1 and 2-2. Further, with 2 victories and 1 defeat each, Young Ninjas and FURIA Academy are on the 4th and 5th lines, respectively, and 6th and 7th places are taken by mouz NXT and Astralis Talent. VP Prodigy are in last place with a 0-3 result and are still closest to being eliminated from the tournament.
The top 3 teams will advance to the final stage, where $ 88,000 of the prize money will be raffled off. Places 4-7 will advance to the Play-In, where they will fight for the fourth invite to the playoffs. The team that took the 8th place in the group stage will leave the current tournament.

WePlay Academy League Season 1 runs from July 19 to August 29. The total prize pool of the championship is $ 100,000. In the online part, a fund of $ 12,000 will be drawn, and in the LAN event for the four best teams, the organizers will distribute $ 88,000 among the participants.
