The teams will get points for a defeat in overtime starting from ESL S6
On ESL Pro League Season 6, a new system of points distribution in overtime will be used – a team will get 2 points for win, and 1 point for defeat. We will remind you that previously a winner got 3 points, while a loser got nothing. All overtimes will be limited by 6 rounds and starting prize of $16,000.

It should be mention that the organizers agreed on a new points distribution system with professional esportsmen on the final of ESL Pro League Season 5, so the players already know the innovation.
The qualifiers to the final stage will take place on August 22 till November 12 in online format. In their result, 6 participants from North America and 6 participants from Europe will be determined. The LAN-final is scheduled on December 5 – 19 in Odense, Denmark. 12 best teams of the season will compete for the prize pool of $750,000.
