Call of Duty Mobile World Championship 2025: Teams, Schedule, and Prize Pool

Call of Duty Mobile (CODM) is closing the year with its biggest competition yet. The World Championship Finals will take place in Katowice, Poland, from November 7 to 9, 2025. Sixteen teams from around the world will be fighting for the title and a share of an $850,000 prize pool.

What’s New This Year

The 2025 format starts with two divisions: Open and Legendary. Players in the Open division go through solo and team qualifiers, while Legendary division teams enter through higher-tier competitions. The year-long buildup filters thousands of players down to the best squads that now stand on the world stage.

The finals will once again run with a mix of group stages and playoffs. Most playoff matches will be best-of-five series, while the Grand Final is set as a best-of-seven.

Another change this year is the location. Katowice will be hosting the event for the first time, and it's a city with a strong esports legacy. Expectations are high, and many fans think that they should be able to deliver an atmosphere similar to iconic Counter-Strike events that were held in the same arena.

The Sixteen Qualified Teams

The finals bring together 16 teams, and the lineup is stacked. China leads the charge with Wolves, Qing Jiu Club, and Stand Point Gaming. Wolves earned the most championship points in their region and come in as one of the favorites.

India is sending GodLike and S8UL, two teams that carry large fanbases. Both have been putting in strong performances in regional qualifiers, and Indian fans are just eager to see if one of them can make a deep run.

Then this year, Brazil will be sending three representatives: Galorys, Amigos Gaming, and Street Gaming. They're also to watch out for, as Latin American CODM has always had a reputation for aggressive play.

Other notable names include Diavolos from Japan, B34R CL4N from Africa, and Smart Omega from the Philippines.

Prize Pool Breakdown

The prize pool sits at $850,000. The champions will take home $350,000, with the runner-up earning $135,000. Third place pockets $80,000, while fourth secures $55,000. Teams finishing between fifth and eighth split mid-tier prizes ranging from $42,500 to $24,500. Even the bottom four squads take home $7,250 each.

The money reflects Activision’s continued investment in mobile esports. While the totals are lower than tier one PC titles, CODM’s prize distribution remains one of the best in the mobile scene.

Schedule and Format

The road to Katowice began with the Solo Qualifier in April, followed by the Team Qualifier in June. Regional Qualifiers and Regional Finals through July and August decided which squads would reach the world stage. Now the top 16 will be split into four groups of four.

Each group plays a round robin, with the top two advancing to the playoffs. From there, it becomes a knockout bracket. The format is designed to reward consistency. A single upset in the group stage will not sink a team, but once the playoffs start, every mistake can end a run.

What to Watch For

The Chinese teams are under pressure to deliver. Wolves in particular have dominated their region and are expected to push for the trophy. Anything less than a top-three finish will be seen as a disappointment.

Indian fans will be watching GodLike and S8UL closely. Both teams have improved tactically and mechanically this season. If either can crack the top four, it would be a major milestone for Indian esports.

Brazil is always entertaining. Their teams play with high tempo and often swing maps with bold strategies. If the bracket places them against slower, more methodical squads, expect fireworks.

North America has three slots, and while their teams may not be favorites, they are capable of upsets. Viewers tracking odds and expectations often point out that North American teams have unpredictable peaks. But for those who want to get the latest, 10CRIC official and other similar sites can give them a grasp of what match results may look like.

Rules and Roster Requirements

Each team must field five starters, with one optional substitute. Rosters cannot change more than one player between later stages, which helps prevent teams from stacking lineups at the last minute. Players must also meet regional eligibility rules to avoid conflicts about nationality or residency.

Predictions for Katowice

Based on performance throughout the year, there are four teams to watch out for this year, and here are some thoughts on how they'll do:

  • Wolves (China): The most disciplined roster in the field. Their map control and late-round composure make them the clear title favorites.
  • GodLike (India): This squad is backed by eagerness to do better and a loud fanbase since India still loves to play CoDM. If they stabilize their consistency, a top-four run is realistic.
  • Galorys (Brazil): Their gameplay is fast and fearless, and they can easily overwhelm structured teams. However, that fearlessness can easily backfire, so that's something to be mindful of.
  • Qing Jiu Club (China): They might be slightly overshadowed by Wolves, but many would agree that they can be equally dangerous.

It would not be surprising if the trophy stays in China, but this is esports. Anything can happen, and we never know how truly prepared each squad is until the actual matches.

Conclusion

The CODM World Championship 2025 is still one of the top mobile esports out there. So don't miss out on sixteen teams from every corner of the world, a prize pool that rewards all participants, and a game that continues to be one of the most popular mobile shooters.
