The fourth season of Intel Grand Slam 4 started at the end of 2021 — the first championship became the Intel Extreme Masters XVI - Winter. The winner of the tournament was the French roster of Vitality who beat Ninjas in Pyjamas in the final. However, a few weeks later the organization made serious changes in the roster, having zeroed their achievements this way.

However, at the start of a new season the situation of the series changed dramatically as the FaZe Clan team reached the top of the throne. Having won the Intel Extreme Masters XVI - Katowice and the ESL Pro League Season 15, the team was involved in the struggle for gold.

And if the Intel Extreme Masters XVII - Dallas still belonged to Cloud9, in Cologne FaZe Clan approached their goal at arm’s length and won the third tournament in the series.

Nevertheless, in the autumn FaZe Clan were going through hard times and as a result the team lost two attempts having lost the ESL Pro League Season 16 and the Intel Extreme Masters Rio Major 2022.

The beginning of a new calendar year brought the European team another chance to develop their success and win the fourth season of the Intel Grand Slam 4. FaZe Clan has four attempts for it at the upcoming championships — the Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2023, the ESL Pro League Season 17, the Intel Extreme Masters Brazil 2023 and the Intel Extreme Masters Dallas 2023.

But the chances are also given to their opponents: Cloud9, Vitality or Outsiders have one victory each. THe latter have made 9 attempts and even completed one of the most important requirements — victory at one of three IEM events (Katowice, Cologne or an ESL major).

The fourth season of the Intel Grand Slam 4 is going to be interesting. Other grands — Natus Vincere, G2 Esports, Heroic and Team Liquid can also join the battle. And it means that we can see one of the most lengthy seasons in history.
