The closed qualification in the Asian region has come to an end, as a result of which all the participants of IEM Fall 2021 Asia have been determined. After three days of competition, Team NKT and Checkmate qualified for the main event.
The closed qualifier began with Checkmate's victory over Team NKT. However, after this match, there was a small scandal, as a result of which the Mongolian team was awarded a technical defeat. According to Valve's rules, during RMR tournaments and qualifiers, there should be no unauthorized persons in the same room with the players, which was violated during the fight.
