Over the next five days, eight teams from North and South America will compete for a prize pool of $67,500, rating points, as well as one slot at BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022. Format of BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2022 North America

The organizers did not change the format of the Showdown series, limiting themselves only to the regional division of participants into two events: Europe and North America. At the same time, the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2022 North America format itself has remained unchanged since last season, when teams were offered a playoff bracket with a single elimination. That is, the teams have only one chance to take the main prize - a ticket to BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022. And this means that the losing team is eliminated from the tournament. All matches of the championship, including the grand final, will be held in the BO3 format - no sensations.

Eight teams will take part in the championship:

• Liquid (NAF, EliGE, nitr0, oSee, shox).
• Evil Geniuses (Brehze, CeRq, Stewie2K, autimatic, RUSH).
• MIBR (exit, WOOD7, Tuurtle, JOTA, chelo).
• paiN (PKL, biguzera, hardzao, NEKIZ, nython).
• GODSENT (TACO, felps, dumau, b4rtiN, latto).
• Sharks (jnt, Lucaozy, zevy, chay, matios).

Note that Sharks participation in the championship is a big question. Earlier it was reported that the team encountered difficulties when flying from Brazil to Mexico. If the Brazilian team fails to resolve their difficulties, ATK should take their place at BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2022 North America.

Prize pool distribution

• 1st place: $20,000 + 1,600 points + slot to BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022.
• 2nd place: $12,500 + 800 points.
• 3rd-4th place: $7,500 + 500 points.
• 5th-8th place: $5,000 + 150 points.
