FaZe Clan, G2 Esports and ENCE will play in the same group at IEM Dallas 2022
Tournament operator ESL presented the results of the IEM Dallas 2022 group stage draw. As a result, FaZe Clan, G2 Esports and ENCE teams got into group A, where they will compete for three tickets to the championship playoffs. Recall that a little earlier, ESL announced changes in the composition of the IEM Dallas 2022 participants. Due to problems with obtaining documents to enter the United States, the teams NaVi and Entropiq are forced to miss the championship. As a result, BIG and Movistar Riders teams will take part in the tournament.
Group A
The clear leader of Group A will be the FaZe Clan team, which won the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 the day before. They will play in the first round with the Australians from LookingForOrg. No less interesting is the pair Astralis - Team Vitality, which will determine the strongest in BO1. Group A will also feature G2 Esports and Movistar Riders, MOUZ and ENCE.
Group B
Already in the first round of the tournament, two Brazilian teams will face off - FURIA and Imperial Esports. No less intriguing is the meeting between Team Liquid and Cloud9. Group B will also feature Ninjas in Pajamas and BIG, Heroic and Complexity Gaming.
IEM Dallas 2022 will start with the group stage, from where six teams will advance to the playoffs (three from each group). The opening matches of the championship will be held in the BO1 format - all subsequent matches in BO3 (with the exception of the grand final - it will be held in the BO5 format). The winners of each group will go directly to the semi-finals, while the 2nd and 3rd teams will form quarter-final pairs.
