Astralis managed to beat Movistar Riders despite the postponement of the fight

The Astralis team managed to beat Movistar Riders in the Roobet Cup 2022. Despite the postponement of the match, the Danish team successfully started in the group stage of the championship. In turn, the Spaniards were hanging by a thread from being eliminated from the Roobet Cup 2022.

Recall that the meeting was supposed to take place the day before. However, the duel suddenly stopped with the score 7:6 on the Mirage starting map. At the same time, for 13 rounds played, the match took a break several times, clearly hinting at the problems with the server.

As a result, the organizers came to the conclusion that the machine on which the server is running is out of order, and does not allow restoring the match to its original state.

The meeting started on the Mirage map, the first half of which ended with a minimal advantage in favor of the Spanish team. However, after the side switch, Astralis managed to seize the initiative to close the opponent's pick in their favor and take the lead in the series — 16:14.

Then the teams moved to the Overpass map, the first half of which again went in an equal fight. And again, after the side switch, Astralis managed to take the game into their own hands to finish the series on two maps — 16:8.

Roobet Cup 2022 runs from June 22 to 30 online. As part of the championship, sixteen participants from Europe, the CIS, North and South America are fighting for a prize pool of $250,000.
