Astralis and 00NATION to play in the first round of IEM Cologne 2022 Play-In

Tournament operator ESL has presented the results of the draw for the first round of the IEM Cologne 2022 Play-In. On the first game day, Astralis and 00NATION will face each other. What is most interesting, the place of the Brazilian team in the championship is allocated to GODSENT, but, according to rumors, the backbone of the team will soon move under the wing of the coldzera project.

Eight teams will make their way from the Play-In stage to the group stage (four from the upper bracket and four from the lower bracket). Eight teams will definitely play in the group stage of IEM Cologne 2022: FaZe Clan, Natus Vincere, G2 Esports, FURIA Esports, Cloud9, ENCE, Ninjas in Pajamas and Team Liquid. It should be noted that the presented teams scored the required number of points in the previous championships of the Intel Extreme Masters Season series.

Recall that a few hours earlier, the Ukrainian esports organization NaVi approved the roster for the upcoming IEM Cologne 2022. As a result, sdy will remain in the starting team for the next championship.

IEM Cologne 2022 will be held from 5 to 17 July in Germany at the Lanxess-Arena. The championship will feature 24 teams from Europe, the CIS, Oceania, China, North and South America, who will play for a prize pool of $1,000,000, as well as rating points for the BLAST Premier table.
