The BIG team beat Cloud9 with a score of 2:0 and made it to the grand final of the Roobet Cup 2022. Here the German team will play with the winner of the FaZe Clan meeting - Astralis. In turn, the wards of groove left the championship, taking 3rd-4th place and earning $15,000.
The first semi-final of the gaming day started on the Dust 2 map, which became the choice of the German team. At the same time, BIG quickly joined the game, seizing a total advantage from the very first rounds. At some point, it seemed that Cloud9 players were still sleeping, as the Germans closed the first half with a devastating 14:1 score and went to finish the game. After the change of sides, the Russian team still tried to win back, but in vain. As a result, BIG scored a confident victory at its own peak and took the lead in the series — 16:9.
Next, the teams moved to the Inferno map, which became the choice of Cloud9. And again, the German team showed an amazing result, as they confidently played half of the defense on the map, which had previously been a permanent ban. After switching sides, Cloud9 managed to even out the situation, at some point starting to hint at a comeback and going to the desider. And yet, in the very end, BIG players managed to find a weak spot in the opponent’s defense in order to get the necessary rounds and reach the grand final of the Roobet Cup 2022 — 16:12.
The best player on the server was tiziaN, who finished two maps with an overall rating of 1.47. In turn, Cloud9 scored sh1ro, who ended the meeting with a rating of 1.09.
Roobet Cup 2022 runs from June 22 to 30 online. As part of the championship, sixteen participants from Europe, the CIS, North and South America are fighting for a prize pool of $250,000.
