ESL Pro League Season 16 will host participants in Malta

Tournament operator ESL has officially unveiled the venue for the upcoming ESL Pro League Season 16. The championship, which will be held from August 31 to October 2, will be played in Malta at the Salini Resort venue. The organizers also announced that the island nation will host a series of championships until the 20th season.

During the playoffs, the Salini Resort venue, created by Gaming Malta and ESL for ESL Pro League Season 16 in Salini Resort, will feature a live audience, however there will be no spectators in the group stage.

Today we are pleased to announce that we will be expanding our partnership with the EU Ministry of Economy, Funds and Lands through the GamingMalta Foundation over the next 3 years, starting with the upcoming 16th season of the ESL Pro League. Malta will be home to the biggest CS:GO league in history and will host the ESL Pro League until the end of Season 20.

ESL Pro League Season 16 will be held from August 31st to October 2nd in Malta at the Salini Resort. 24 teams will compete for a total prize pool of $835,000. The winner of the tournament will receive the main prize of $175,000, as well as tickets to BLAST Premier: World Final 2022 and IEM Katowice 2023.
