Teams Heroic and NaVi started with victories at IEM Rio Major 2022. At the start of their performance in the championship, the teams were stronger than Outsiders (16:9) and Vitality (25:21), respectively. With these victories, the teams will prepare for the start of the second round in the top pot.

The next match within the championship took place on the Overpass map. However, at the start, the fans did not see any struggle, as the Danish team immediately seized the initiative and confidently coped with the opponent's attacking attempts - 13:2. After the side switch, the Outsiders tried to get back into the game, but too much of a gap allowed Heroic to keep the advantage, and then get the final victory — 16:9.
Vitality-NAVI
A parallel meeting took place on the Mirage map. Here, the starting advantage remained with the Danish-French team, which showed an excellent start and took the lead. However, at the equator of the first half, "Born to Win" was able to find their game and provide themselves with a comfortable backlog - 10:5. After switching sides, Vitality managed to strain NAVI and join the fight, bringing the map to overtime. And yet, here the "Born to Win" managed to survive, and at the same time get their first victory at the Major - 25:21.

As part of the championship, 24 teams from the CIS, Europe, North and South America, and Asia are fighting for a total prize pool of $1,250,000, ranking points in the BLAST Premier table, as well as tickets to BLAST Premier: World Final 2022 and IEM Katowice 2023 for the winner.
