The FaZe Clan team becomes the second reigning Major winner in history, who not only failed to defend the title, but also crashed out without a single victory on the last line. A similar situation happened only once - in 2016.
Turning to history, the French team Team Envy became the champion of DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca 2015, where they outperformed NAVI in the grand final with a score of 2:0. Cloud9IEM Rio Major 2022 takes place from October 31 to November 13 in Brazil at the Jeunesse Arena and at the Riocentro convention center.
