Already today, November 10, the first quarterfinals of IEM Rio Major 2022 will begin. Perhaps the main question that excites fans is the following: will all four teams from the CIS make it to the semifinals? Indeed, the grid is built in such a way that four representatives of the region can be among the contenders for the title at once, giving the fans an unforgettable holiday. We will try to look forward to the start of the IEM Rio Major 2022 playoffs and analyze each quarter-final pair separately.
Outsiders - fnatic
Outsiders and fnatic will clash in the first quarterfinal of the event. It is worth saying that during the tournament the teams have already played in the Challengers stage, and then the Outsiders got a natural victory with a score of 2:0.
Now, many are leaning towards another victory for the team over fnatic, since almost all statistical metrics speak in favor of the Outsiders.
MOUZ - Cloud9
Perhaps the most unequivocal duel among all the quarterfinals. MOUZ should already be praised for reaching the playoffs, but Cloud9 showed an unrealistic performance during the championship. Firstly, the team overcame all difficulties after two defeats at the start of the Challengers stage. Secondly, the wards of groove went through the thorns of FaZe Clan, NaVi and Heroic in "legends" and were the first to reach the playoffs.
In turn, the “mice” can boast of a series of failed matches and a number of positive moments. And yet in this series, MOUZ has too little chance of sensation.
Team Spirit -Heroic
In the third quarter-final, there will be a meeting between Team Spirit and Heroic. It is here that the intrigue is hidden like nowhere else, since the Danish team is considered the favorite of the match. However, the "dragons" can also unpleasantly surprise Heroic, which they have already proved by the example of the victory over Team Liquid.
And if Team Spirit catches a wave of the crowd, which will again cheer against the guys, it can create a sensation. And yet in this duel lies the main drawback of the question posed earlier. And the victory of Heroic can cross out a beautiful fairy tale for the CIS.
FURIA -NAVI
The main confrontation for the Brazilian fans and a real hell for the "Born to Win". One can only guess how loudly the fans will bury NAVI, but other things being equal, FURIA is not the team that can create problems for s1mple and the company with their play.
In general, the main danger lies in the support of local fans. However, the rest of FURIA has nothing to brag about.

Cloud9IEM Rio Major 2022 takes place from October 31 to November 13 in Brazil at the Jeunesse Arena and at the Riocentro convention center. As part of the championship, 24 teams from the CIS, Europe, North and South America, and Asia are fighting for a total prize pool of $1,250,000, ranking points in the BLAST Premier table, as well as tickets to BLAST Premier: World Final 2022 and IEM Katowice 2023 for the winner.
