Heroic knocks out Team Spirit from IEM Rio Major 2022 and advances to the 1/2 finals
The Heroic team defeated Team Spirit 2:0 and made it to the 1/2 finals of IEM Rio Major 2022. Here the Danish team will play with the winner of the final quarterfinals of FURIA — NAVI. The third quarterfinal match started on the Vertigo map, which became the choice of the Russian team. Next, the teams moved to the Overpass map, which became Heroic's choice. And again, the Russian team managed to win the pistol series, running a little ahead. However, Heroic recovered very soon and ran ahead, starting to bury the opponent — 10:5. After switching sides, the Dragons won the fourth pistol series, thus returning themselves to the game. Yet one disastrous round from Team Spirit killed a possible comeback. At that very time, Heroic took advantage of the opponent's mistakes to gather her thoughts and make it to the semi-finals of IEM Rio Major 2022 - 16:14.
