The tournament operator ESL has officially introduced the player who will help the Swedish national team in the upcoming show match at IEM Rio Major 2022. It turned out to be karrigan, the current captain of FaZe Clan — the Dane agreed to help his neighbors in the game against the Brazilian national team. Recall that two days ago, JW, who was unable to attend the events due to illness, dropped out of the Swedes' application.

IEM Rio Major 2022 takes place from October 31 to November 13 in Brazil at the Jeunesse Arena and at the Riocentro convention center. As part of the championship, 24 teams from the CIS, Europe, North and South America, and Asia are fighting for a total prize pool of $1,250,000, ranking points in the BLAST Premier table, as well as tickets to BLAST Premier: World Final 2022 and IEM Katowice 2023 for the winner.
