OG and Vitality secured participation in the playoffs of BLAST Premier World Final 2022

Teams OG and Vitality got the starting wins in the BLAST Premier World Final 2022, thanks to which they guaranteed participation in the championship playoffs. Now the teams will have to hold a face-to-face meeting in order to compete for a direct ticket to the semi-finals. In turn, the Heroic and NAVI teams, which suffered defeats the day before, will compete for the right not to be eliminated from the tournament.

Heroic-OG

The first meeting within Group B started on the Inferno map, which became the choice of the OG team. Here, the situation was initially in favor of ruggah's men, but closer to the change of sides, the Danes managed to come to their senses and ensured a minimal advantage - 8:7. However, in the second half, the intrigue disappeared from the server, as Heroic couldn't come up with anything in the attack. In turn, OG showed a confident defense game, thanks to which they took the lead in the series — 16:11.

Next, the teams moved to the Mirage map, which turned out to be Heroic's choice. This time, the Danish team began to correct the situation, imposing a fast pace. OG players were clearly not ready for this, they failed in defense and started preparing for the third map — 11:4. After the change of sides, ruggah's wards still tried to return, but they didn't have enough strength. At the same time, Heroic managed to get the necessary rounds to even the score in the series — 16:9.

Everything was decided on the Anubis map, the first half of which ended with a minimal advantage in favor of the Danes - 8:7. After the side switch, Heroic managed to get a great handicap with five match points. However, here the OG team joined the game, which not only equalized the score, but also got the final victory in overtime — 22:19.

NAVI-Vitality

The final match of the gaming day started on the Inferno map, which turned out to be the choice of the Danish-French team. The first half was held in an equal fight, albeit with a minimal advantage in favor of the nominal “owners” – 8:7. After switching sides, the teams continued to trade in a series of rounds to get to overtime. However, here Vitality turned out to be slightly stronger, thanks to which she took the lead in the series — 19:16.

Then the teams moved to the Nuke map, which became the choice of NAVI. And here "Born to Win" quickly ran ahead, creating a reserve for defeat. But with the score 1:7, the Danish-French team joined the game to close the first half in their favor — 8:7. After the switch of sides, NAVI did not succeed, while Vitality continued to bend its line and reached a confident victory in the series - 16:11.

BLAST Premier World Final 2022 takes place from December 14 to 18 in Abu Dhabi at the Etihad Arena. As part of the championship, eight teams from Europe, the CIS and North America are fighting for a total prize pool of $1,000,000.
