IEM Katowice 2021 schedule revealed
The organizers of IEM Katowice 2021 CS: GO have published the schedule of the starting matches of the championship.
The first game day will start with two meetings: G2 - Team Spirit, Evil Geniuses - Gambit. Astralis and Heroic will be next in the game, facing mousesports and BIG, respectively. Two more matches will take place in the evening: Vitality - OG, FaZe Clan - Team Liquid.
The second game day will start with two meetings: FURIA - NiP, Natus Vincere - Virtus.pro.
Participants of the main stage of IEM Katowice 2021 will play according to the GSL system in two groups of eight teams. The two best teams will make it to the semi-finals, and the teams that took second and third places in their groups will start their way from the quarterfinals. Note that the playoffs do not have a lower bracket, which means that the loser leaves the tournament immediately.
Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2021 is one of the biggest championships of 2021. Its prize fund is $ 1,000,000, and 24 teams take part in its distribution. The tournament runs from 18 to 28 February. The championship winner will claim $ 400,000, plus 1,800 ESL Pro Tour ranking points and 3,200 BLAST Premier ranking points.
