They told the esports community that the mayor of the Swedish capital Anna König Yerlmür addressed the Swedish government in an open letter, in which she urged them to give permission to organize and host the long-awaited Major CS: GO tournament in Stockholm.

This happened due to the fact that the government refused to cooperate with Valve. While the community expected PGL Stockholm Major 2021 to be relocated to another country as well, there is renewed hope in the esports community.
