Heroic and Vitality made it to the playoffs of ESL Pro League Season 14

The fourth round in Group A at ESL Pro League Season 14. We have witnessed an outstanding event - the guys from Spirit scored the first points in the tournament. Well, Heroic and Vitality have already secured their place in the playoffs thanks to confident victories over their rivals.

In the first match, intrigue could await us, since there were two outsiders of the group - Spirit and Bad News Bears. However, already at Inferno, the Russian team made it clear that they are ready to interrupt a series of failures on the map and earn the first points in this championship. And so it happened, because the "dragons" won not only the opponent's pick, but also the next card Dust 2 - an easy 2: 0 for Spirit and another failure from Bad News Bears.

Then we watched an extremely interesting fight in which the guys from ENCE played the main role. At least that's how it seemed after the first map, since Mirage went to this European fusion. However, on Overpass, the Danes managed to pull themselves together, albeit in the second half, and began to slowly let their opponent come closer to them. As a result, Heroic, albeit on the nerves, nevertheless took its peak and moved to the desider. Deciding the fate of the fight turned out to be the Nuke map, on which both teams are strong. And so it happened, since the teams decided to play all 30 rounds, as a result of which the Danes turned out to be stronger - 2: 1.

In the evening, by tradition, an interesting sign awaited us - Astralis versus Vitality. But ironically, there was practically no struggle in this match, since misutaaa, together with ZywOo, decided to roll out the Danes. As a result, Astralis lost a vital match with a score of 0: 2, leaving all questions for the final round.

Three meetings will take place today, August 20. There is only one intrigue here: Who will become the third participant in the playoffs. To do this, it is enough for ENCE not to lose Bad News Bears, while Astralis needs to wait for an error from the aforementioned rival and defeat Heroic along the way. At the same time, Spirit and Bad News Bears have already lost their purely theoretical chances of qualifying from the group, actually saying goodbye to the championship.

ESL Pro League Season 14 is coming online from August 16 to September 12. 24 teams from Europe, Brazil, CIS and North America are competing for a total tournament prize pool of $ 750,000 and a lot of ranking points in the ESL Pro Tour and BLAST Premier tables. The winner will not only earn a solid cash reward of $ 175,000, but also receive a direct invite to BLAST Premier World Final 2021.
