SK Gaming and FaZe Clan to play at IEM Sydney 2018

The organizers of IEM Sydney 2018 given out the first direct invitations to their championship - SK Gaming and FaZe Clan will visit Australia. In total, sixteen collectives will take part in the tournament, but it is still unknown who will get direct invitations.

All the participants will be divided into two groups, where they will play by the GSL system. The first matches will be played up to one victory, and the others will be played up to 2 victories. The teams holding the top positions according to the results of the group stage will get to the semifinals immediately.

The tournament will happen on 1-5 March in Sydney, Australia. The prize pool of $250,000 will be competed for by 16 best teams of the present-day professional stage. The holding place was decided to be "Qudos Bank Arena".
