Infinity will take on the timbermen for the right to reach the semi-finals of the open qualifier at IEM Road to Rio 2022 North America. I propose to consider in more detail the game form of these teams in order to understand who it will be best to bet on here. Bookmaker experts believe that timbermen has an impressive chance of winning, which equates to approximately a 78% probability, which is equivalent to odds of 1.20.
Game form Infinity
The Latin American team was assembled in April and since then the players have not been able to show impressive results. Instead, they have to settle for 182 in the ranking of the best CS:GO rosters in the world according to HLTV.
In this team, I frankly confuse 2 factors. 1 is that the team hasn't played very often lately, which can negatively affect their game form. The team played only 2 matches in August and 2 in September. The second factor that confuses me is the changeable nature of the performances, which means an unstable game form - a concept that does not fit the description of the favorite team.
In August, the roster took part in the EGL Premier Season 3, a 4-team tournament, where it took 3rd place. In the first matchup, the roster lost 0-2 against timbermen (we'll come back to this later for more details), after which Electrify Steel barely defeated. It is also impossible to call the latter serious opponents, and this opponent is on the 217th line in the world ranking.
In September, Infinity Esports tried to succeed in the second open qualifier for IEM Road to Rio 2022 North America, but the attempt was unsuccessful. In the first match, Infinity lost against BHOP with a score of 7-16. The next step in this direction proved to be more successful and the third qualifier is going well for the players so far, as a result of which their opponents Mythic were defeated with a score of 16-8.
Due to the low number of matches played, the objectivity of the statistics of the Infinity map pool may not be what we would like, but we clearly see one thing for sure: the Ancient team is playing well, but Inferno is not. Dust 2 and Mirage never come together.

game form timbermen
Timbermben is almost the complete opposite of the Infinity team. The team is in good playing shape, the roster has often taken part in official matches lately, and the players themselves are among the top 100 teams in the world, ranking 95th.
The team is head and shoulders above its opponent in many ways, which I would like to pay more attention to.
In August, timbermen took part in four tournaments, winning two of them. They managed to win EGL Premier Season 3 and ESL Challenger League Season 42 North America. As part of EGL Premier Season 3, they completely defeated Infinity with a score of 2-0, and now they will have to fight with them in a more important duel.
Over the past month, timbermen have taken part in 12 matches, 8 of which have won. The team was unable to defeat Gas Money, Squirtle Squad, ATK and Strife.
The team attempted to qualify for IEM Road to Rio 2022 North America through the second open qualifier, but ended up finishing 5th-8th there. Now the team has also already entered the top 8 of the third open qualifying round and the team is determined.
Today, by the way, there was a match against Limitless, where our favorite won with a score of 16-14. With not the greatest desire, I note that Limitless are not even included in the top 200 teams in the world.
We can see good indicators in the timbermen's list of played cards. They don't like Ancient, which Infinity likes, and play best on Inferno, where Infinity prefer not to play. On the rest of the maps they perform well: Mirage, Overpass, Nuke - all of these maps are played with a performance of 66.7% win rate, but on Vertigo the win rate is 60%.

Previous encounter between Infinity and timbermen
The last time the teams met quite recently, namely at EGL Premier Season 3. The rosters fought on Mirage and Inferno. Both cards were taken to the timbermen's piggy bank, and the score on the first and second cards turned out to be 16-11 and 16-4. In the second case, it is noticeable that on Mirage the winner did not meet any resistance and almost without much difficulty gained the upper hand in the duel.
Conclusion
We see in all respects that timbermen is a clear favorite to win this confrontation, and the last match between the rosters showed that Infinity cannot offer any resistance to their opponents. I believe that this time the meeting will follow the same scenario. The only difference will be the format of the meeting. The teams will play in a bo1 format, and the extended Infinity map pool will have to help them win an easy victory in this confrontation.
If the timbermen win is valued at 1.20, then the additional market we need, the -5.5 round handicap in favor of the timbermen, is at 1.80. The probability of such a pass is, of course, much lower, and for such a victory, the timbermen should not give up more than 10 rounds, but I think the team can do it too. The only thing I recommend here is not to bet a lot of money, since we are still dealing with a Tier-3 scene and our favorite can fail.
Final bet: Handicap -5.5 rounds in favor of timbermen with odds of 1.80
