Gamers Galaxy has announced the Dota 2 Invitational Series Dubai 2022. The championship, which will be held from March 2 to 6 in Dubai, will feature some of the best teams on the planet, including Team Spirit, Virtus.pro and Team Secret. The prize fund of the tournament will be about $272,000.
Dota 2 Invitational Series Dubai 2022 will start with a group stage, which will be held from March 2 to 3. Ten teams will be divided into two groups, in which they will play in a round robin format with BO1 matches. Teams that take the first two places in their groups will proceed directly to the semi-finals of the championship. At the same time, the teams ranked from 3-1 to 4 will go to the Play-In stage, while the worst teams will leave the tournament.
The Play-In stage will take place on March 3rd. There will be two play-offs in the BO3 format. The winners will go to the lower bracket of the playoffs, while the losing teams will leave the championship.
The playoff stage will take place from 4 to 6 March. Six teams will determine the strongest in the double elimination bracket. All matches, with the exception of the Grand Final, will be played in BO3 format. The decisive match of the tournament will take place in the BO5 format.
