Stockholm Major 2022: Tundra and BB secured their way to the upper bracket

Three more matches within ESL One Stockholm Major 2022 have come to an end. In the first of them, Evil Geniuses fought against OG, in the second - BOOM Esports - with Tundra Esports, and in the third T1 confronted players from the BB Team.

The battle between Evil Geniuses and OG ended in a victory for Ceb and the company with a score of 2-0. Tundra Esports also beat their opponents from BOOM Esports with a similar result. BB Team have already earned the second victory in the ongoing group stage and did not give T1 a single map.

Tundra Esports has already held five meetings and has not suffered a single defeat. They defeated Evil Geniuses, OG, beastcoast and BOOM Esports with a score of 2-0. BB Team became the only team with which the Europeans played a draw. As for the BB Team, they ended up with a draw against beastcoast, BOOM Esports and the previously mentioned Tundra Esports, and also won matches against Evil Geniuses and T1. This allowed Tundra Esports and BB Team to finally gain a foothold in the first two lines in Group A and secure access to the upper bracket of the playoffs. They are followed by T1 in 3rd place with two wins, two draws and one loss. The fourth place is shared by BOOM Esports and OG. The sixth position was taken by beastcoast, but Evil Geniuses seems to have completely lost their luck. The team is still on the 7th line and risks leaving the competition without reaching the playoffs.

The matches in Group A have been completed for today. Next, four matches await us in Group B. Two of the scheduled matches will not be held, as the Mind Games are disqualified from the tournament due to visa problems, and therefore the matches involving Spirit and Fnatic will not take place.

The first two matches will see Fnatic and Thunder Awaken, as well as Team Liquid and TSM. In the second two, Team Liquid and Team Spirit, as well as Thunder Awaken and Gaimin Gladiators will come face to face.

ESL One Stockholm Major 2022 started on May 12th and will end on May 22nd. The total prize pool of the Major competition is $500,000 and 3,530 Dota Pro Circuit rating points. The winner will earn the main reward of $200,000 and 680 DPC points. The silver medalist will receive $100,000 + 610 DPC points, and the team that takes 3rd place in the standings will get $75,000 and 530 rating points.
