ESL One Stockholm 2022 moves to the arena

Today, for the first time in a long time, Sweden will host DotA fans at the Hovet hockey arena. The playoff games are resumed, which will be held with the audience.

Not all participants of ESL One Stockholm 2022 will be able to feel the roar of the public. 8 teams made it to the away matches:

BetBoom and Beastcoast will open the playoffs in the arena. For the majority of players from the team from Eastern Europe, the experience of playing in public will be the first time, while the Peruvians from Beastcoast have long attracted fans of hot Dota, increasing their fanbase by defeating the reigning world champions in the first round of the lower bracket. BB Team, in turn, outplayed Team Liquid in the first round of the playoffs.

Following Beastcoast/BB, OG and Fnatic will break into the match. The situation is similar: OG has Ceb and Taiga among the “burned out” players on LAN, but for the trio of cows Yuragi, bzm and ATF, ESL One Stockholm 2022 will be their debut performance at a tournament of this level. Fnatic has no problems with the experience of playing on stage: the club from Southeast Asia is represented by the most experienced players, who have more than one championship of this magnitude under their belts.

In the final match of the day, the Gaimin Gladiators will play against the winner of the Beastcoast/BB Team. Under the leadership of Ace, dyrachYO, BOOM, Seleri and tOfu will enter the big arena for the first time.

ESL One Stockholm Major 2022 takes place from May 12 to 22 in Sweden at the Hovet Arena. As part of the championship, fourteen teams from all over the world (with the exception of China) are fighting for a prize pool of $500,000, as well as 3,530 rating points.
