BOOM: "DPC leagues take too long"
Journalists from GosuGamers interviewed Czech Gaimin Gladiators player Miroslav 'BOOM' Bičan. The player shared his opinion on the situation in the region, the recent patch, the DPC format of the season and much more. Below are excerpts from the conversation.
On what is happening on the professional scene in Western Europe:
It seems to me that at the top level, a lot of new players are eager to prove themselves, beat everyone and prevail in every match they play. For more experienced players, it can be difficult to stay constantly motivated, which is what the current DPC system requires.
About patch 7.31d:
So far, I really like patch 7.31d. There were a few mid heroes like Zeus or Puck that started getting more attention. They are fun heroes and I don't have to play Storm Spirit every match! The main thing that was done in the update is the nerf of Wraith Pact. This is the item I hate the most in the game.
About the current DPC system format:
I find DPC leagues to take too long and I would definitely make them shorter if we could. Seems like the China region somehow played the whole DPC season in 1 week or so, which is a little over the top, but I would like league matches to happen more often.
About Marci in Captain's Mode:
I can't say that I'm delighted. I played Marci once, but she feels like an Earth Spirit type of hero who can roam a lot and is also very active early in the match.

The tournament runs from June 7th to July 13th. 8 teams are fighting for a prize pool of $205,000, 1150 DPC points and 4 slots in the PGL Arlington Major.
