The Wednesday gaming day of the 2021/2022 DPC season has come to an end. Traditionally, 8 matches were played in regions such as North America, Southeast Asia and Western Europe. In our latest edition of the DPC Daily Digest, we will briefly review the main events that took place yesterday.

DPC NA 2021/2022 Tour 3

Performances in this region began with a confrontation between 5ManMidas and HappySeals. 5ManMidas got into the second division thanks to the victory in the qualifiers, while HappySeals just kept the slot at the end of the previous part of the season. The second match was Quincy Crew versus felt. YawaR and the team are considered one of the league favorites on the same level as Evil Geniuses, and felt are in Division I rookie status.

  • 5ManMidas vs HappySeals - 2:0
  • Quincy Crew vs Felt - 2:0

5ManMidas managed to take the first map in 26 minutes, leaving no chance for their opponents. HappySeals focused on the second map and put up some resistance, but that was not enough, and the team from the qualifiers won with a score of 2:0. HappySeals continue to be the main candidate for relegation from the ranking season, as the team failed to win on any map in 3 matches played. Quincy Crew easily outplayed their felt opponents on 2 maps in a total of 45 minutes. The level of play of Shoe and partners is simply noticeably different from the former members of The International. QC have shown an excellent performance so far this season, winning 3 out of 3 matches and all maps played.

DPC SEA 2021/2022 Tour 3

Next in line were 3 bouts in Southeast Asia. Division II was marked by a match between Execration and the winners of the Summit Gaming closed qualifier. Execration are forced to play in the lower leagues due to the fact that the team took 8th place in the DPC SEA 2021/2022 Tour 2: Division I. A level higher, Polaris Esports met with RSG, which, as a result of a successful performance in the previous part of the season, went to promotion in class. Polaris needed victories, as the team's success is extremely difficult to call satisfactory. And T1 opposed Team SMG. Whitemon and the team are trying to get back into the race for slots at the Major after a poor start to the division when they unexpectedly lost to RNG.

  • Execration vs Summit Gaming - 2:1
  • Polaris Esports vs RNG - 1:2
  • T1 vs Team SMG - 2:1

Execration managed to defeat Summit Gaming after three not the longest maps. Thus, Execration have a 3-0 match record, which increases their chances of returning to the big leagues. Polaris Esports, although they demonstrated a competitive game and were able to win one map, lost to their opponents. The Philippine roster has no chance to compete for places at the PGL Arlington Major, and the question of further presence in Division I is still open, since the score of 0-4 is indicative. The main confrontation of the day in the region was destined to go the full distance. Although Team SMG started the series confidently, they then lost on two maps in a row. You can read more about this match in our review. As a result, T1 are systematically returning to the fight for the top 3 of the first division and the coveted slots at the PGL Arlington Major.

DPC WEU 2021/2022 Tour 3

We opened the game day for OG with a match against Gaimin Gladiators. After winning SL One Stockholm 2022, Yuragi and the team are clearly in great shape and continue to confidently move towards getting into the next Major of the season. GG are performing quite average so far, but nothing threatens their place in Division I. In the second division, Nigma Galaxy is working hard to return to the best teams in the region. Their next rival was the Greeks from Brame. The day was closed by a meeting between another Division II favorites, the IVY team and the obvious underdogs from EU Rejects.

  • OG vs Gaimin Gladiators - 2:0
  • Nigma Galaxy vs Brame - 2:0
  • IVY vs EU Rejects - 2:0

OG outplayed Seleri and his teammates on two maps of 28 minutes each. You can find out more about this confrontation in our review. After this match, OG are leading the first division with a 3-1 record. Nigma Galaxy defeated Brame in class. The second map lasted 20 minutes, which was enough for SsaSpartan and the team to write “gg” to the chat. The KuroKy team leads with a score of 3-0 and is the main candidate for a return to the top league. And IVY defeated EU Rejects, with a score in line with their provisional status of 0-4 in matches and 1-8 in maps played. This concludes our brief overview of all the matches of the previous gaming day.

As a reminder, DPC 2021/2022 Tour 3 runs from June 6 to July 15, 2022. In the first division of each region, $205,000, 1150 DPC points are up for grabs to qualify for The International 11, as well as slots for PGL Arlington Major. In the second division of each region, teams compete for $75,000 and 2 places in the first division.
