PGL removed finargot from coverage of The International 2022 - this may be due to his statements against Ukraine
Recently, Dmitry 'finargot' Plyusnin's sticker disappeared from the sticker capsule of the casters that will cover The International 2022. Valve did not explain what happened and only later it turned out that this was a technical error. However, PGL decided to really take the caster off their coverage of The International.
Dmitry announced this in his Telegram channel. He noted the fact that so far the information has the status of an insider and has not been made public by the organizers of the championship. In addition, Dmitry added that, despite the technical issues, the sticker is still the same as before, will not be returned to the capsule. The cost of the sticker has already increased 120 times since the incident.
Initially, his stickers were sold at a cost of $0.27. One of the last sales was made for $32.61.
Finargot wrote the following:
What can I say. First, the sticker was gone due to a problem with the workshop. But it will not be returned due to circumstances understandable to many. I won't officially cast Int either. May this be a win for some.
At the same time, I will not quit my job. Fantasy, forecasts , streams - everything will be. Let them distort what happened as they want, but all the best.
Finargot was removed from the list of casters with a high probability due to his statements towards Ukraine. He spoke negatively about the country, which was invaded by Russia on February 24, and expressed some mocking remarks. After the incident, many users began to complain about him, and later he completely deleted his Twitter account.
The International 2022 will take place from 15 to 30 October in Singapore. The playoff stage will be hosted by Suntec Singapore and the final matches will take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

PSG.LGD, OG, Team Spirit, beastcoast, Team Aster, Thunder Awaken, BOOM Esports, TSM, Tundra Esports, Gaimin Gladiators, Evil Geniuses and Fnatic advanced to the main stage at the end of the DPC season. Soniqs, Hokori, Entity, BetBoom Team, Royal Never Give Up and Talon Esports went there through the qualifiers.
Nouns, Wildcard Gaming, Infamous, Tempest, Team Secret, Team Liquid, Virtus.pro, Natus Vincere, Xtreme Gaming, Vici Gaming, Polaris Esports and T1 will try again to qualify for The International 2022 through the Last Chance Qualifier.
An interesting fact: if Team Secret can make it to The International 2022, then Puppey will be the only player who has never missed The International playoffs in his career. At the moment, he is the only player in the world who has not missed participation in the tournaments of this series. Until 2019, ddc and KuroKy had the same status. This year, KuroKy failed to qualify for the championship for the first time.
