Patrick Sattermon, co-owner of the British esports organization Fnatic , has filed a complaint against the organizers of The International 2022. According to the functionary, his team, like many others, was dissatisfied with poor noise isolation at the championship.
We documented the request after we found out that opponents in our last elimination game at TI11 could hear the production. According to them, they used this information to make decisions.
As a former player, I'm frustrated that issues like this haven't been resolved, especially on the biggest stage. Our intention is solely to raise awareness of something that could destroy the game and the dreams of esports players.
This is not the first time that the participants of The International 2022 have stated problems with noise isolation at the tournament. In particular, dyrachyo said that poor sound insulation is caused by the lack of gaming booths at Suntec Singapore. Due to this shortcoming, players can hear what is happening in the stands, as well as commentators of the competition.
