ESL provided an explanation for the absence of Chinese teams at DreamLeague Season 21
The organizers of the ESL tournament have announced that Chinese teams will not participate in DreamLeague Season 21 and explained that this decision is due to a packed schedule of competitions, which prevented the teams from accepting the invitation.
The cornerstone principle of the ESL Pro Tour ranking is to ensure the participation of at least one team from each region in DreamLeague. Unfortunately, due to the busy schedule of competitions, the invited Chinese teams were unable to participate in this tournament. We appreciate your understanding.

There are no tournaments planned in China in the near future, but specific details about what constitutes the "packed schedule" have not been disclosed. It's worth noting that at the end of August, Team Aster withdrew from the BetBoom Dacha tournament due to internal issues.
Currently, PSG.LGD holds the top spot in the ESL rankings among Chinese teams, with Team Aster and Azure Ray also ranking in the top three.
DreamLeague Season 21 will take place from September 18th to 24th in an online format. The best teams in the world according to the ESL rankings will compete for a prize pool of one million dollars, and this tournament will be the last major event before The International 2023.
