Clement Ivanov said that, in his opinion, Aghanim's Shard does not provide any big bonuses, and the mechanics itself is quite simple, which is generally good:
“I love the idea of Aghanim's Shard. What this item gives could be a hero talent. In that sense, Shard is another way to get new talent.
It doesn't provide any incredible bonuses. It's a simple mechanic, and the more difficult the game, the fewer people play it, which means we're in the black. "
