Elephant and RNG confidently advance to the next round of closed qualifiers
China's closed qualifiers for The International started quite predictably. In the first round top wire Elephant played with MagMa, and RNG met LBZS.
In the first map of the Elephant vs. MagMa match, the latter tried to punish the “elephants” for mistakes, but failed to do so. The second map was much easier for Elephant.
The second match turned out to be just as predictable. RNG beat LBZS in 30 and 42 minutes, respectively.
Now the two main favorites of all qualifiers will face off in a principled match in the second round of the upper bracket. The meeting between Elephant and RNG will take place tomorrow.
LBZS and MagMa fall into the lower bracket of the qualifiers, where they no longer have the right to make a mistake. MagMa will play against CDEC and LBZS will be waiting for the winner of this pair.
