Dota 2 Championship League: Winstrike earned their second win

Another game day within the Dota 2 Champions League has come to an end. Yesterday we were able to observe three interesting events. Winstrike and V-Gaming turned out to be the winners in the confrontation, while Unique and PuckChamp were defeated. The Fantastic Five took part in two matches in a row, in one of which they were defeated and in the second they won.

The first confrontation took place with the participation of Winstrike and Team Unique. The first map there ended in 49 minutes in favor of Winstrike. Unique didn't get lost and closed the second card very quickly, namely in 24 minutes. The third map ended in 47 minutes in favor of Winstrike, whereby Eugene 'chshrct' Castram and his teammates beat Unique with a score of 2-1. This allowed the team to earn extra points in the tournament, but the team still takes 9th place.

In the second match, Fnantastic Five and V-Gaming played against each other. Their match was faster than what we saw in the battle between Winstrike and Unique. The first map ended in favor of Fantastic Five in 36 minutes. On the second, V-Gaming managed to tip the scales in the center and drew the game. Unlike Unique, in the first match of the game day, V-Gaming, after leveling the score, were able to make a comeback and eventually win this fight.

In the third and final duel, PuckChamp and Fantastic Five fought. After the fight with V-Gaming, Stanislav '633' Glushan and his teammates were already played and ready to face PuckChamp. The first map was completed in 43 minutes, and the second - in 40. Not the fastest fights, but this match was the only one in this game day that ended dry.

With the exception of the top 6 in the top division, Team Spirit and Tundra Esports will be competing for the right to be called the best participant in this tournament and for the main reward of $ 20,000.These teams received a special privilege in the form of a direct invitation to the playoffs from the organizers of the tournament.

The Dota 2 Championship League started on July 19 and will end on August 8. The total prize pool of the championship is $ 50,000. There are 10 teams playing in it, 1 of which withdrew from the event (Gambit Esports). The winner of the event will claim the main cash prize of $ 20,000, while the vice-champion will receive $ 10,000. The bronze medalist will receive $ 6,000, and the 4th place team will earn $ 4,000.
