Invites to closed qualifiers to ESL One Genting 2018 were announced
ESL has announced a new information about the tournament that will take place in Genting Highlands. Now, the list of teams that had been invited to the qualification has become known.
7 slots have been reserved for participants that will pass qualifiers. China has received 2 slots, while the rest of regions will receive only one invitation. The last 16th participant, that receives a direct invitation, will be announced later.

12 teams will compete in each close qualifying round, four of them will pass open qualifiers and other eight teams will be invited directly. The close qualifying round will be run on December 19-22, except for the Chinese division. The close qualification will be hosted in China on December 29-30.
Organizers of the tournament will seed teams by groups in the following way: four teams will go to the quarterfinal, other four invited teams and four teams to pass open qualifiers will start from Round of 12.
