The International 2019 will be held on August 15-25
Less than four months have left till the beginning of The International 2019. Valve has decided to tell about the date and reveal the secrets.
The following statement has emerged on the official Dota 2 account:
«The International 2019 will be taking place on August 15th through the 25th. We are still finalizing details that are required before tickets can go on sale, but we expect to be able to do that in a couple of weeks».
After the dates have been revealed, players are now waiting for the information about what the compendium dedicated to the ninth Dota 2 world championship will bring to the game. Valve collect the main fund for the general prize pool of each tournament with the help of this crowdfunding system together with selling special in-game items.
The International 2019 will take place in Shanghai, one of the biggest cities in China. 18 teams will take part in the competition. We know only four participants at the moment: Team Secret, Virtus.pro, Vici Gaming, and Evil Geniuses.
