Qualifications for Dota 2 The International 2023 never seem to end. In China, things are just starting to heat up.

We are talking about the top set of local qualifiers. In the last match of the first round of the winner's bracket Azure Ray and Team Bright will meet.

Considering the format of the qualifiers, in the first round we often come across confrontations between clear favourites and outsiders. This match is no exception.

Azure Ray is a Chinese super team. In China they love this story of gathering legendary players under one wing and then trying to climb to the top of the region. We've seen such endeavours with Xtreme, but where are they now? Perhaps Azure Ray will follow the same script, although their debut was a very good one.

Let's continue the match analysis with Team Bright's uniforms. In this match, the team plays exclusively as a number two, on paper with no chance of outplaying their opponents.

The odds for Bright to win are at around 7. It's hard to imagine a different pre-match situation for Bright.

Team Bright, to be fair, are not the last team to qualify. Bright have previously enjoyed mixed success in the DPC leagues and have even made it to the top division.

Team Bright made it to the top division thanks to their success in the second round of DPC 2023: Division 2. Then Bright, through blood, tears and sweat made it to the top division after triple overtimes. In general, they did their best, but the result was still a relegation from the top division.

In the last round of DPC 2023: China Upper Division, Team Bright were the worst team in the draw. They only managed to take 1 map, but still got prestige points.

I don't believe Azure Ray will allow themselves any liberties in qualifying for The International. The most Bright will do is pick up a card and that's unlikely.
