In the second match of the first game day at DPC SEA 2021/22 Tour 1: Division 1, OB Esports x Neon will play against BOOM. If the match between T1 and TNC Predator is a foregone conclusion, then the situation here is extremely interesting.
In general, instead of BOOM, the Omega Esports team should have been here. But, as it turned out, Omega Esports participated in fake matches, for which they were banned from all tournaments from Valve.
With justice restored, BOOM has a top division slot that it lost last season. The team has a second chance and it is not yet clear whether it will use it.
We are trying to understand which of this pair will be stronger and will start their way to the DPC with a victory.
OB Esports x Neon Form
Since OB Esprots x Neon are in the top division since last season, let's start with them. Calling Neon a favorite doesn't work.
Not making it to The International 10, OB Esports x Neon embarked on tough reshuffles, like most teams, by the way. But whether they managed to assemble a capable team remains a big question for me.
OB Esports x Neon Roster
- Palos
- MamangDaya
- Enryu
- Hustla
- Abeng
These are locally famous players who have played in TIR-2 tournaments for most of their careers. The only veteran of the roster, if I may say so, is Enryu, playing for OB Esports x Neon since June 2021.
OB Esports x Neon Latest Results
- Draw with Execration 1-1
- Draw with Motivate. Trust Gaming 1-1
- Defeat Execration 2-1
- Defeat Nigma Galaxy SEA 2-0
- Lost to Polaris Esports 0-2
All these matches were played at the same TIR-2/3 tournaments, which I mentioned above. OB Esports x Neon has experience in this roster, but it is extremely dubious, especially considering the history with Omega Esports, which were also regulars at such competitions.
OB Esports x Neon Heroes
The most played heroes of OB Esports x Neon in patch 7.30: Lion (15 matches, 66% win), Pangolier (15 matches, 40% win), Mars (14 matches, 57% win).
The most successful OB Esports x Neon heroes are Earthshaker (3 matches, 100% wins), Beastmaster (2 matches, 100% wins).
BOOM form
Let's move on to the analysis of BOOMs that have received a second chance. Very serious BOOM, as for me.
BOOM is one of the teams that won the reshuffle. They managed to collect the cream of the Philippine scene and spice it up with experienced Mushi as a trainer.
BOOM Esports Roster
Here you have a bunch of supports Tims and Skem, where the former is an honored veteran of the stage who played for TNC Predator at their peak, and the latter is a genius who plays in all positions and terrified his opponents during the ONE Esports Singapore Major. There are also barks in the form of Tino and Yopaj, which showed themselves well during the previous seasons.
BOOM Esports Recent Results
- Draw with Nigma Galaxy SEA 1-1
- Beat Polaris Esports 2-0
- Defeat Nigma Galaxy SEA 2-0
- Defeat Motivate.Trust Gaming 2-0
- Beat Polaris Esports 3-0
BOOM overclocked at local events, the last of which they won literally on November 14th. This definitely gave the team a moral boost, which they can use during matches already in the top DPC division.
BOOM Heroes
Most played BOOM heroes in patch 7.30: Gyrocopter (18 matches, 72% win), Tiny (17 matches, 76% win), Pangolier (16 matches, 68% win).
Most successful BOOM heroes: Ember Spirit (5 matches, 100% win), Lion (4 matches, 100% win), Earthshaker (3 matches, 100% win).
History of personal confrontations
The last match of the team was played in October 2021. Then it all ended in a draw.
Match outcome
In this match, I will give my preference to BOOM. Still, the line-up looks very juicy, and together with the latest results at local events, everything looms even brighter.
Match result: BOOM wins.
