All over the world, the spring stage of League of Legends tournaments from their own developer Riot Games, together with local partners, is now taking place.

So far, only the group stage is going on, where the teams are trying to score as many points as possible. The entire group stage will take a full nine weeks, but now only the second has come to an end.

What happened during the second week of the Spring Split? How have the leaderboards changed? Who seems to be the favorite? In this digest I will try to answer all your questions!

LPL Spring 2022 - China

Perhaps, let's start with a part of Asia, because it is from there that the largest number of world champions come out, and the regions themselves are considered one of the strongest on the professional stage. Among all of Asia, the largest competitive region is China.

While in the same Korea, Europe, America, we see only 10 best teams during the split, then inside China, as many as 17 teams are fighting on the split, which is almost twice as many.

We interrupted the winning streak of the Oh My God players, who literally broke into this split of the Celestial Empire with such a loud noise. Not surprising, because the team is far from the most experienced, but such a start made many believe in their strength.

FunPlus Phoenix also lost ground and went down a bit in the standings, unexpectedly losing to a relatively average team of JD Gaming.

Otherwise, everything has remained plus or minus in its place, as expected from the Chinese League: EDward Gaming and LNG Esports are in first place so far, without losing a single time. They are followed by Royal Never Give Up, who managed to lose only once against FPX on the very first day of the split.

LCK Spring 2022 - Korea

From China, we are immediately transferred to Korea. Perhaps the most hyped region in relation to the average level of play in the League of Legends. Korean players are the most valued in the world, and among the community, it is the Korean server that is considered to be the “most competitive”. After all, the birthplace of such players as Faker, Showmaker and many others who are so loved.

The second week at the LCK Spring 2022 split turned out to be quite interesting, there is something to discuss.

T1 along with the same Faker at the top, Gen.G continue their victorious march, and Nongshim Redforce are doing ex-champions from DWG KIA. But about everything in order.

2020 did not go well for the legendary organization T1, after which they burst into last year's season with an updated roster and literally new forces, as evidenced by the results. Since that moment, the roster has not changed much, only an additional player came to the role of support. As I thought, for a year of playing and training together, the team rallied and literally got a second wind. This year, personally, I expect a lot from T1.

Gen.G - it was the players of this team who were promised the first place in the split, paying attention to their roster and excellent game. Arguing that Gen.G is one of the favorites is extremely difficult, they just continue to prove their superiority in Korea, having already defeated DWG KIA at the end of last week.

But few believed in the strength of Nongshim Redforce, but they proved that they are worthy of attention. As I myself wrote in the analytics, their updated line-up looks quite strong and menacing. Following Gen.G, they too took down former DWG World Champions KIA and KT Rolster, taking third place.

So far, the favorites of the region justify their title, and only DWG KIA surprised the audience a bit, losing twice in a row.

LEC Spring 2022 - Europe

We are transported from Asia to our home region - Europe. During the second week, unlike Korea, there were no particularly interesting events here, the split leaders only strengthened their positions.

The players of Rogue and Fnatic are still stubbornly fighting for the first place, which, so far, is shared by the two. Both teams coped well with the dynamic format of the Bo1 tournament and were able to get a 5-0 score in meetings.

However, this confrontation is coming to an end. In four days, on the third week of LEC Spring 2022, they will meet in the first match between each other (as part of this split), which will become decisive in their confrontation.

We talked about the favorites, but how are G2 and MAD Lions doing there? Both teams, along with the Misfits, took 2-4 places with a score of 3-2.

To everyone's surprise, G2 flew off Team Vitality in the very last match of the second week. This turn did not surprise me at all, due to the format of the tournament, and most importantly, the fact that G2 changed their roster for the new season - that's the result.

In turn, the guys from MAD Lions were not lucky enough to run into Rogue, whom they could not defeat.

So far, the picture is pretty good: all the favorites are in their places, although even now I can say that it is Rogue that seems to be the strongest inside the European split.
