Прогноз на матч: Gen.G - Dplus KIA | LoL
LCK Spring 2024 - PlayoffsWelcome to EGamersWorld.
The League of Legends festivities in South Korea are heating up. LCK Spring 2024 is moving towards the double-elimination stage of the play-offs, and the race for the split title and slots at MSI 2024 is left to the strongest.
Gen.G with DPlus KIA are among the contenders for the championship. It is this pair that will open the new round of play-offs with their bo5 match.
It is noteworthy that Gen.G chose DPlus as their opponent, who very unexpectedly beat KT Rolster. The match should obviously be The International heresy.
We will try to find out which of the teams will be stronger and will move to the LCK Spring 2024 Small Final, and who will fall to the lower grid.
Let's go.
Gen.G Form.
Let's open the match analysis with an analysis of Gen.G's form. In this match they will play as favourites with odds to win at 1.1.
In the 2022 season, Gen.G finished top 2 at LCK Spring 2022 and won LCK Summer 2022 before travelling to Worlds 2022 where they lost dramatically in the grand final. However, this didn't do much to shake their position at the 2023 season's Long Segment.
In 2023, Gen.G won LCK Spring 2023, leaving no chance for T1 in the grand finals. A little less luck at MSI 2023, where Bilibili Gaming sensationally kept the Korean champions out of the finals.
- Gen.G line-up: Kiin, Canyon, Chovy, Peyz, Lehends.
At LCK Summer 2023, Gen.G made it to the play-offs without any problems. During the group stage, the titular Koreans gave up only 2 series, eventually finishing in 2nd place in the group stage table with a score of 16-2.
In their first play-offs match for themselves, Gen.G crushed HLE. HLE 3-0 and now Gen.G are ready to advance to the league finals for the second consecutive time.
The Grand Final is a rematch of the playoffs. Last round Gen.G beat T1 3-2 in a very tough series and I think the final will be the same.
And in the grand finals, they did it too. And it was even easier than in the match to get here: Gen.G became the LCK Summer Split champion by beating T1 3-1.
Worlds 2023 Gen.G started off with a solid win over Gam Esports. It was fast and painful for Gam with 22 minutes and only 5 kills for the Vietnamese.
In a 2-0 basket match, Gen.G played against their counterparts, and by extension, bitter rivals T1. The South Korean derby, like the last 4, ended in favour of Gen.G, as Chovy and his Akali left T1 with nothing to lose.
Gen.G advanced to the Worlds 2023 play-offs with a score of 3-0. In their final group stage match, they played against G2 Esports and, expectedly easily, ran over the Europeans 2-0.
Being one of the favourites for Worlds 2023, Gen.G couldn't handle the burden of responsibility and lost in the first round of play-offs, Ledgeiv BLG.
In the first match at LCK Spring 2024, Gen.G will be tested against T1. I'm sure the reigning LCK champions will be proud to pass it, as Gen.G are historically good at home against the Worlds 2023 champions. Following that, Gen.G will play Nongshim RedForce, where they should outplay their opponents with unenviable ease.
In the group stage of LCK Spring 2024, Gen.G did what was expected of them: an unqualified top-1 with a fantastic 17-1 series record.
Most Popular Gen.G Champions
The most popular champion on the top line is Gnar (10 games, 90% win rate). Jayce appeared 8 times and the winrate was 87%. Kenen was played 4 times and won all matches, KSante 4 times and 3 wins, Renekton 4 times and 2 wins.
In the forest were Vi (11 matches, 72% wins), Sejuani (10 games, 80% wins), Wukong (7 matches, 85% wins), Le Sin (6 games, 83% wins).
On the centre line it was Azir (13 games, 69% wins), Gragas (6 matches, 100% wins), Kassadin (5 games, 100% wins), Viktor (4 matches, 75% wins).
The most popular ADC is Lucian (12 matches, 83% wins). Next are Varus (8 games, 87% wins), Caitlyn (5 games, 100% wins), Zeri (4 matches, 75% wins).
Nami (13 matches, 84% winrate). Ashe and Lux have 4 games and 4 wins each.
Form DPlus KIA
We continue our analysis of the second round play-offs match with an analysis of DPlus KIA's form. In this match they will play as an outsider with odds to win at around 7.95.
In the season before last, Dplus were still DAMWON, but it does not change the essence of the matter. Back then, Korea's top team finished Top 3 at LCK Spring 2022 and Top 4 at LCK Summer 2022.
Thanks to a win at LCK Regional Finals 2022, the team went to Worls 2022. The World Championships ended with a play-offs loss in a colourful match against Gen.G with a score of 2-3.
After rebranding, Dplus put together a new roster. There was an attempt to make a sort of "super" team, but that story doesn't work too well in LCK.
- Dplus roster: Kingen, Lucid, ShowMaker, Aiming, Kellin.
Reigning world champion Deft didn't help Dplus much at the first tournament after the rebranding. At LCK Spring 2023, Dplus finished in the top 5, which is not good.
At LCK Summer 2023, Dplus made it to the play-offs in 4th place, 11-7. That's better than T1.
However, LCK Summer 2023 Dplus KIA did not stay in the play-offs for long. In the first round of LCK Summer 2023 Playoffs Dplus Ledge and T1 with the score 1-3, leaving the main stage of the prestigious championship early.
The team made it to Worlds 2023 thanks to a second place finish at the South Korean regional finals. To do so, they first outplayed DRX (3-0) and then HLE (3-1).
Dplus opened up Worlds 2023 with a match against G2 Esports. The titular Koreans were weaker than the best team in Europe and went into the set 0-1.
There, Dplus played their fellow countrymen from KT Rolster. And again Worlds 2022 champion Deft and their distinguished colleagues lost: now Dplus had 0-2.
After falling into the relegation zone, Dplus finally got their act together and showed their game. They knocked BDS out of the tournament and now continue the arduous march to the play-offs. They later outplayed GAM Esports and came out on top 2-2, but in the final match Ledge or KT Rolster, thus forfeiting their chance at the play-offs.
After a slightly dismal Worlds 2024, DPlus KIA took the top 5, closing out the LCK Spring 2024 regular season with a score of 9-9.
In the first play-offs match, DPlus pulled off a mini-sensation. They defeated their more titular rival KT Rolster in a very difficult bo5.
The most popular DPlus champions
For the top line the team picks KSante (4 matches, 50% wins), Renekton (3 games, 33% wins), Gnar (3 matches, 66% wins).
In the forest all the same, more or less standard: VI (7 games, 57% wins), Maokai (3 games, 66% wins), Poppy and Sejuani 2 matches and 0 wins each.
On the centre line with no deviations. There are Azir (4 matches, 50% wins), Ryze (4 games, 50% wins), Syndra (2 games, 50% wins), Cassiopeia (2 matches, 50% wins).
The championship among shooters is held by Lucian. Champion appeared 5 times, but won only 2 matches. Tried to Zeri, but failed: 0-3 in three appearances.
Among the supporting champions, Nami was a success. She was picked up 5 times, and her winrate was 40%. Yummi (3 games, 0% wins) and Ashe (3 games, 66% wins) were also picked.
History of head-to-head meetings Gen.G - DPlus KIA
The teams have played each other 5 times in the last year. In three matches DPlus managed to take a card each, but did not win any series.
Predicted result of DPlus KIA vs Gen.G at LCK Spring 2024
DPlus KIA have already shown themselves very well in this play-offs and, in my opinion, jumped above their heads, but they can't compete with Gen.G yet. It should be a sure win for the Korean grandee, except with a slight correction for the DPlus card.
Bottom line: Gen.G wins 3-0/3-1.
