Прогноз на матч: Gen.G - DRX | LoL
LCK Spring 2022 - Group StageThe third day of the top LCK Spring 2022 tournament in Korea begins with an important match for two rather powerful teams: Gen.G and DRX, which will define a new chapter in their confrontation.
The annual reshuffle affected both teams quite strongly. Under the auspices of both of them, we will see many Korean esportsmen known to us from other organizations. That Gen.G, that DRX, came out with such "hodgepodge".
And only one thing remains unchanged for a long time: ADK Gen.G Ruler and forester DRX Pyosik.
Form Gen.G
During the 2020 season, the guys from Gen.G boosted their level of play a lot, took the top 3 - 4 in Korea and went to Worlds 2020, taking 5-8 places there.
In the 2021 season, they only improved their results. In their homeland, they earned the title of top 2 - 3 teams, and at Wolrlds 2021 they took the 3rd - 4th place.
But it should be understood that all this was due to the well-coordinated and diligent work of the same roster, which has hardly changed in all these two years. And for this split, we see a completely new lineup, which has not yet debuted.
Gen.G roster at LCK:
- Doran is top lane.
- Peanut is a forest.
- Chovy is mid lane.
- Ruler is a bot lane.
- Lehends - support.
DRX form
The then-DragonX players made a very good jump onto the professional scene in 2020 after the rebranding. It was then that Doran and Chovy were their permanent players. It seems we have found two "impostors". The roster of 2020 also featured the Deft botliner, but more on that later.
2021 was not a good year for the guys. At the end of 2020, they already changed their main squad and took 7th - 8th place at the KeSPA Cup 2020. And already in the new year they played 9th - 9th in the spring split and took 5th place. The last summer split brought them only disappointment, as DRX played 2-16 and became LCK's outsider in 10th place out of 10.
Now they have completely changed their roster: they brought Deft back, signed contracts with experienced and strong players like BeryL.
Still, I doubt very much that it was a good idea to put the young player in the mid lane, who played 7-9 places in the LPL in China for 2 years.
DRX roster:
- Kingen is top lane.
- Pyosik is a forest.
- Zeka - mid lane.
- Deft - bot lane.
- BeryL - support.
Meeting history
The story of the confrontation between these two teams begins even before the DRX rebranding in 2016. That is why they know each other well and have played 23 times since that time. Gen.G had 12 wins against 11 wins for DRX.
But in our case, this is not an indicator. After all, their rosters are new now and this will be the debut match for the two teams.
Outcome
To say that for me there was a clear favorite here - I really can't. But if you look at the solutions and team rosters rationally, Gen.G will be stronger and more experienced. But we have not seen any of the newly assembled teams in action. Perhaps I shouldn't have doubted the DRX mid lane.
If you want to risk it, you can safely bet a small amount on DRX. But if I think about who is more likely to win, I would bet on Gen.G.
