Fnatic becomes the first quarter-finalist of VALORANT Champions 2021
The third game day of VALORANT Champions 2021 has come to an end, according to the results of which the Fnatic team became the first quarterfinalist of the championship. At the same time, the game day presented several interesting events, among which, of course, the violation of competitive rules from the Brazilian team Keyd Stars stands out. In this regard, we invite you to get acquainted with the results of the third day of VALORANT Champions 2021.
Acend - Keyd Stars
The game day was opened by a meeting between Acend and Keyd Stars. It seemed that the European team would get the easiest victory and break into the leaders of the group. However, already on the Icebox map, the Brazilians turned over all the usual hands, having managed to show a convincing attack, thereby breaking out ahead - 13: 9. However, on the Bind map, Acend woke up to show two convincing halves and equalize the streak with 13: 3. The Keyd Stars song seemed to be sung. However, on the decisive map, the Brazilians showed character. However, as it turned out later, the Keyd Stars player took advantage of the bug, which led to a victory over the opponent.
Following the match, Riot Games conducted an investigation and discovered that a Brazilian player had used a dishonest camera while playing Cypher, which provided important information to his team in six rounds. As a result, the organizers deducted the number of rounds won, awarding the victory to Acend.
Vision Strikers - Fnatic
The next game was fraught with a fundamental meaning, since the winner automatically guaranteed a place in the quarterfinals. At the same time, the series began with a convincing play from Fnatic, which showed two strong halves on the Icebox map, thereby securing the lead in the series - 13:10. However, on the next map, the South Korean team restored the status quo, showing a very well-coordinated attack on Haven - 13:10. And yet, on the decisive map Fracture, the Europeans turned out to be stronger, who literally smashed the Vision Strikers with a score of 13: 6.
Team Envy - X10 CRIT
In the final meeting of the game day, there was no intrigue at all. The thing is that the North American team was deliberately ahead of the opponent in terms of playing capabilities. This is exactly the scenario that unfolded on the server, as Team Envy closed the X10 CRIT on Breeze and Ascent cards without much hassle, thereby breaking into the leaders of Group A.
