The group stage of VALORANT Champions 2021 has come to an end, which means that only eight out of sixteen teams will continue to fight for the right to become the world champion. At the same time, the championship managed to present a lot of surprises, in particular, the departure of the Sentinels and Team Envy. In this regard, we suggest recalling the most significant moments of the group stage of VALORANT Champions 2021.

It seemed that Team Envy would make it to the championship playoffs without any problems. And at the championship itself, the team started with an easy victory over X10 CRIT. However, in the next game, the North American team lost to Acend, which could still be resigned to. But the last nail above the coffin lid was hammered by the X10 CRIT players, who took revenge on Team Envy in the decisive match, sensationally making their way to the playoffs.

Group B was also sensational. The main force of the quartet was, as expected, the Europeans from Team Liquid, who won two confident victories. However, many expected to see the strength of the North American scene in the Sentinels. At the same time, the team started the championship quite confidently, beating FURIA. However, after the defeat to Team Liquid, the North American team finally lost all their confidence. As a result, the Sentinels failed to cope with KRÜ Esports, allowing the Chileans to go to the playoffs.

Well, the quartet's loser was the FURIA team, which lost two equal meetings, and failed to show themselves on the international arena. Of course, KRÜ Esports deserves warm words, which, under the support of its owner, showed a decent game, naturally making its way to the playoffs.

In the next quartet, there were no unexpected results. Quite expectedly, the Japanese team Crazy Raccoon dropped out of the race for a place in the playoffs, which once again lost two meetings, leaving the tournament among the first. The Russian team Gambit has also earned its place in the playoffs. At the same time, the team had game problems caused by not the most successful form. Nevertheless, Gambit managed to show a champion character, having made a beautiful comeback against Team Vikings.

At the same time, the struggle for the second place in the playoffs unfolded between Team Vikings and Team Secret. It is noteworthy that both bands managed to create problems for Gambit, ruining the favorite's nerves in face-to-face meetings. However, in the decisive match, Team Secret dealt with the Brazilian team with almost no chance, thus earning the most significant achievement in its history.

There were no sensations in the final quartet. At the same time, quite unexpectedly, the first place was taken by the Fnatic team, which, having shown not the most confident game, outplayed Cloud9 Blue and Vision Strikers, getting extra days of respite. However, the struggle for the second ticket was in earnest. Yes, FULL SENSE has shown since the start of the championship that it is not ready to wedge itself into this struggle.

Therefore, the main intrigue was hidden in the duel between Cloud9 Blue and Vision Strikers. To the delight of the fans, the fans presented a hot confrontation. However, the North American team found the key to the rebellious Koreans, thereby managing to get the last slot in the playoffs of VALORANT Champions 2021.
