FunPlus Phoenix made it to the playoffs of VCT 2022: Stage 2 Masters Copenhagen

FunPlus Phoenix defeated Northeption 2-0 to qualify for the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen playoffs. Here the European team will meet with the Fnatic team, which also represents the EMEA region. In turn, Northeption left the championship, taking 9th-10th place and earning $15,000 + 200 points.

The first match of the last day of the group stage started on the Fracture map, which became the choice of the Japanese team. At the same time, FunPlus Phoenix managed to show a confident attack in order to get the minimum allowable advantage before switching sides. In the second half, the Japanese began to gain momentum until the European team built the economy. As a result, FunPlus Phoenix got the victory on the opponent's pick and took the lead in the series — 13:9.

Next, the teams moved to the Ascent map, which turned out to be the choice of FunPlus Phoenix. Here the European team showed a much more confident start, closing the first half with a score of 9:3. At some point, it seemed that Northeption would be able to turn the game around. However, FunPlus Phoenix managed to withstand the onslaught of the opponent in order to get the second victory in the group stage, and at the same time knock the Japanese out of the championship — 13:9.

The last participant in the playoffs of the championship will be determined tonight. OpTic Gaming and KRÜ Esports will clash in the decisive match of group A.

VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen takes place July 10-24 in Copenhagen in a mixed format. The first weeks of the championship will be held in a studio format, while the final three days will take place at the Forum venue. As part of the championship, twelve participants from Europe, North and South America, Brazil, Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia compete for a prize pool of $650,000, as well as ranking points needed to qualify for VALORANT Champions 2022.
