
VALORANT Champions 2022 Prize Pool Will Be $1,000,000
The organizers of VALORANT Champions 2022 have officially announced the size of the prize pool. The upcoming championship, which begins tomorrow, August 31st, will offer participants a cumulative prize of $1,000,000.
VALORANT Champions 2022 will begin with a group stage, where participants will be divided into four equal groups (four teams each):
- Group A - Paper Rex, Edward Gaming, Leviatán, Team Liquid
- Group B - Optic Gaming, BOOM Esports, ZETA DIVISION, LOUD
- Group C - FunPlus Phoenix, KRÜ Esports, XSET, XERXIA
- Group D - DRX, FURIA Esports, FNATIC, 100 Thieves
The two best teams from each quartet will advance to the championship playoffs, where they will form a double elimination bracket. The lower final and the grand final, which will take place on September 18, will be held in the BO5 format.
VALORANT Champions 2022 Prize Pool Breakdown
- 1st place: $300,000
- 2nd place: $150,000
- 3rd place: $110,000
- 4th place: $80,000
- 5th-6th place: $60,000
- 7th-8th place: $40,000
- 9th-12th place: $25,000
- 13th-16th place: $15,000
Recall that in the framework of last year's VALORANT Champions 2021, the participants also competed for a prize pool of $1,000,000. However, then the winner was awarded $350,000, which is $50,000 more than in the current year.












VALORANT Champions 2022 will take place from August 31 to September 18 in Istanbul at the Volkswagen Arena. The tournament will feature sixteen teams from Europe, North and South America, Brazil, South Korea, Japan, China and Southeast Asia competing for a combined prize pool of $1,000,000.
