XSET beats XERXIA in the group stage of VALORANT Champions 2022

The XSET team outplayed XERXIA with a score of 2:0 in the group stage of VALORANT Champions 2022. Now the North American team will be waiting for their opponent in the next match, which will be determined by the results of the next meeting of group C. In turn, the team of Southeast Asia takes a step closer to the departure from the championship.

The first match of the game day started on the Fracture map, which became the choice of the North American team. At the same time, the first half was held in an equal fight, even if the nominal “hosts” managed to get a minimal advantage – 7:5. After switching sides, the teams continued to keep the intrigue in check. Still, XSET managed to show more character, thanks to which the team closed their own pick and took the lead in the series - 13:11.

Next, the teams moved to the Icebox map, which turned out to be the choice of XERXIA. And again, the first half was held in a stubborn struggle, although the minimal advantage again remained with the North American team - 7:5. However, in the second half, XSET players managed to show a confident attack, with which they carried the opponent off the server and got the final victory — 13:8.

Following at VALORANT Champions 2022, there will be a principled meeting between the FunPlus Phoenix and KRÜ Esports teams.

VALORANT Champions 2022 takes place from August 31 to September 18 in Istanbul at the Volkswagen Arena. As part of the championship, sixteen teams from Europe, North and South America, Brazil, South Korea, Japan, China and Southeast Asia are fighting for a total prize pool of $1,000,000.
