KRÜ Esports Eliminates XERXIA With VALORANT Champions 2022

The XERXIA team lost to KRÜ Esports with a score of 1:2 in the group stage of VALORANT Champions 2022. As a result of this meeting, the team from Southeast Asia leaves the championship, occupying the last line. In turn, KRÜ Esports reserves the chance to get into the playoffs of the competition by playing in the decisive match of group C.

The first meeting of the game day started on the Icebox map, which became the choice of the Chilean team. However, the fans did not see the struggle on the map, as KRÜ Esports instantly seized the initiative and kept the opponent in line. As a result, Leazo's wards quickly closed their own pick and took the lead in the series — 13:4.

Next, the teams moved to the Haven map, which became the choice of XERXIA. Now the Thai team has managed to seize the initiative, demonstrating a well-coordinated game. Despite all the attempts of KRÜ Esports to return to the fight, the XERXIA players played confidently on their map and turned the series to a deader — 13:7.

Everything was decided on the map Ascent, the first half of which was held in an equal fight. However, in the second half the Chilean team managed to seize the advantage, which they did not let go until the very end. As a result, KRÜ Esports managed to win on the third map, thus knocking out XERXIA from the championship — 13:6.

Note that according to the results of the group stage, the teams Leviatan, DRX and OpTic Gaming have already guaranteed themselves participation in the playoffs of VALORANT Champions 2022.

VALORANT Champions 2022 takes place from August 31 to September 18 in Istanbul at the Volkswagen Arena. As part of the championship, sixteen teams from Europe, North and South America, Brazil, South Korea, Japan, China and Southeast Asia are fighting for a total prize pool of $1,000,000.
