Patiphan to miss VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: LOCK//IN São Paulo due to injury

Hong Kong esports organization Talon Esports has announced forced changes to its VALORANT roster for the upcoming VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: LOCK//IN São Paulo. As a result, the tournament will be missed by Patiphan, who recently suffered a wrist injury and will not be able to compete at the upcoming event in Brazil.
We are sad to announce that Patiphan will not be joining us on the upcoming VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: LOCK//IN São Paulo. Due to the need for wrist surgery, together with Patiphan, his parents and the doctor, we collectively decided that the best option would be to stay in Thailand for rehabilitation. Health has been and always will be our number one priority as we want all of our players to have successful and long careers.
Despite the difficult decision, our team is still focused on preparing for the tournament and will travel to Sao Paulo next weekend. We ask our fans and community to wish Patiphan a speedy recovery and look forward to his return to the big stage.
It is reported that Patiphan will need an operation, which is why the club, by a joint decision, allowed the esportsman to stay in Thailand for rehabilitation. Thus, JitboyS, who was listed as a reserve player, will take his place in the starting lineup at the tournament.
Recall that Patiphan returned to VALORANT last fall, when the Talon Esports organization introduced its new roster to participate in the affiliate program. The 19-year-old had previously made a name for himself on the X10 CRIT team, but returned to the Overwatch League in 2022. However, back in the summer, he suffered a wrist injury, which prevented him from performing at a professional level in recent months.
In the first round of VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: LOCK//IN São Paulo, the Thai team will face the hosts from MIBR. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, February 15th.
