VCT 2021 format announced: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin
Riot Games announced the format of the VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin, which will take place from September 9-19 at the Verti Music Hall.
The first seven days of the tournament will be occupied by the group stage. Sixteen teams will be assigned to four groups to ensure maximum distribution across all regions represented. Each group will host four teams in a double elimination bracket, where only one team can qualify for the playoffs.
The four top-ranked teams in their groups will advance to the playoffs. The teams will be placed in the semi-finals of the single draw, from where they will begin their journey to the grand final. All matches, except for the grand final (BO5), will be played in the BO3 format. The winner of the championship will receive not only a solid cash prize, but also the right to take part in VALORANT Champions 2021 at the end of the year. This tournament is expected to take place in Los Angeles from November 29 to December 12.

- Playoffs: September 18-19.
Currently, the names of 12 of the 16 teams that will take part in VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin are already known. Acend, SuperMassive Blaze, Gambit Esports, G2 Esports, Sentinels, 100 Thieves, Team Envy, Vision Strikers, F4Q, ZETA DIVISION, Crazy Raccoon and Havan Liberty will comprise four teams from Brazil, Southeast Asia and Latin America.
